NQTs Development

Wolds Teaching School Alliance offers a bespoke training and development programme available to newly qualified teachers who have attained qualified teacher status (QTS). This programme can be accessed in addition to an ongoing school-based induction and NQTs can sign up for as many sessions as they wish, completing the full programme or selecting key sessions to reinforce specific areas of your professional development.

What is involved?

The NQT programme builds upon the Wolds School Direct initial teacher training programme, offering a rigorous and inclusive sequence of group training sessions such as ‘Making sense of the numbers – data analysis’; ‘Communicating with Parents’; ‘Surviving your NQT Year’, and ‘Managing Time for Excellent Marking and Feedback’ to help NQTs build confidence and strengthen their teaching practice.
