Scratching Beneath the Surface is a twilight CPD programme, designed to support KS1 and KS2 teachers. It is looking specifically at how to use Scratch in the classroom to meet the needs of the Computing programme of study for Key Stages 1 and 2.
Practical, computer-based sessions will teach participants how to use Scratch 2.0, as well as providing them with a range of resources to use in their classrooms and an understanding of how to embed the teaching of computing into other topics.
The programme is being delivered by a Computing SLE, and will be delivered as two twilight sessions (16:00 to 17:30) at South Hunsley School, on the following dates:
£50 per participant, with a 20% discount for schools within the Teaching School Alliance.
