TeacherLink is the perfect forum for all classroom practitioners to share their resources and teaching and learning ideas in an informal, friendly setting with like-minded professionals keen to refine their skills or acquire new ones through Joint Practice Development.
The group is facilitated by a range of teachers from NQTs to those in senior leadership, delivering training, discussing research projects and reflecting upon teaching practices. Sessions so far have included improving literacy across the curriculum, use of modern technologies to enhance learning, thinking skills, creativity, questioning and independent learning.
The TeacherLink sessions have one main theme or key concept, with one presenter sharing their experiences, quickly followed by group feedback and discussion, the ‘ResourceExchange’ and networking across the Alliance. Regular attendees benefit from the chance to ‘try something new’ and feed back at the next event.
Sessions run fortnightly at pop-up venues across the Alliance. Starting time 4.15pm for a 4.30pm start. Finish time 5.15-5.50pm. TeacherLink is a free forum and open to members of the Alliance. Attendees must register online before attending each event. Refreshments available.
