EMH MAT Toolkit

East Midlands and Humber Region Resources
Welcome to our East Midlands and Humber resource centre for Multi-Academy Trusts. The idea for this has grown out of the many sessions we have delivered for Trusts over this academic year with the core purpose of sharing best practice.  Can I say a huge thank you to all the Trusts who have generously contributed to the content of the resource centre and toolkit. It is important to emphasise that the toolkit is work in progress. It is definitely not the finished article and we would welcome more contributions.
Many academies have already embarked on the journey to establish a MAT and to become a sponsor. To meet the demand we know we need in our region, we not only need more MATs to grow but we also need to develop new MATs.  It is really important that we do not continually re-invent the wheel but that we learn from each other and refine our practice.

As part of this site, we are not recommending one model but wanted to share different approaches to help everyone evaluate their own practice and to continue to improve. If you have better examples or just different approaches please contact Julie Crawshaw at the DfE Offices in Sheffield at Julie.Crawshaw@education.gsi.gov.uk

We want all our young people in the region to experience the best education possible and a major way we will achieve this is by collaborating and sharing excellent practice. The resource centre and toolkit is just one way of helping to make this happen.
