Local Leaders of Education (LLE) are serving headteachers who have the capacity and capability to make a significant contribution to supporting schools in their local area.
As part of the National College for Teaching and Leadership’s (NCTL) move towards a school-led system, the NCTL will no longer designate LLEs, and instead have given teaching schools, such as Wolds Teaching School Alliance the freedom to recruit and designate school leaders in this role as we already do with specialist leaders of education (SLEs).
If you are looking for school-to-school support, either at LLE or SLE level, please complete our school-to-school support form and we will get in touch.
If you are a serving head teacher and interested in becoming designated as an LLE or are an existing LLE looking to associate with a teaching school, please see below for more information.
If you are a serving headteacher who meets the eligibility criteria for becoming a Local Leader of Education, please complete the expression of interest form below to register your interest.
The current window for LLE applications is open until 16:00 on Friday 16 June 2017. If you would like to be considered for designation as an LLE during this application window, please download and complete the two application forms below and send these to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Following reciept of these application forms, we will request a reference from your designated referee (chair of governors / MAT CEO) and then be in touch regarding interview.
