Pupil Premium reviews are an integral element of the government’s focus on educational excellence for all, providing independent reviews and action plans for schools to support and develop their provision for disadvantaged students.
Ofsted, the DfE, an RSC, local authority or MAT sponsor may recommend that a review is commissioned, if there are concerns regarding the provision for disadvantaged students. If this is the case, it is important that action is taken promptly.
A review will be a priority for any school where disadvantaged students are failing to progress to their expected levels. All schools, however can benefit from a Pupil Premium review, offering you new approaches or assisting to improve implementation of existing strategies.
South Hunsley School (lead school for Wolds TSA) has been a regional winner at the Pupil Premium Awards for two out of the last four academic years, showing our high level of expertise and best practice in this area.
Wolds TSA is able to offer two-day Pupil Premium reviews, led by SLEs and appropriately trained reviewers, and signed off by a nationally accredited Pupil Premium Reviewer and National Leader of Education. The process of Pupil Premium reviews with Wolds TSA includes a guided self-review framework, as well as school visit and support preparing action plan, tailored to the context and needs of your school.
