Many academies have already embarked on the journey to establish a MAT and to become a sponsor. To support the growth taking place in our region and to support our shared goal of more children and young people attending good and better schools, we want to support MATs to grow and support the development of new MATs. I am very keen that we share new and established practice and avoid re-inventing the wheel, learning from each other and refining our practice.
As part of this site, we are not recommending one model but wanted to share different approaches to help everyone evaluate their own practice and to continue to improve. There are, of course, other sources of information and support that will be of use to you. If you have better examples or just different approaches please contact Julie Crawshaw at the DfE Offices in Sheffield at Julie.Crawshaw@education.gov.uk
We want all our young people in the region to experience the best education possible and a major way we will achieve this is by collaborating and sharing excellent practice. The resource centre and toolkit is just one way of helping to make this happen.
