Claire has been teaching for 20 years and working at Malet Lambert for 16 years, 12 of which were spent in the role of Head of MFL. More recently, she has taken on the role of School Improvement Leader and works closely with trainees and newly qualified teachers as professional mentor, subject lead for the SCITT and NQT co-ordinator.
In 2009 she completed a two year professional coaching qualification through Beech Consultancy and has worked as a coach within Malet Lambert and externally, with clear measureable impact. She has been involved in the training of new coaches to ensure good quality support and development of staff across the school.
Within her current role as School Improvement Leader, Claire has worked closely with departments on a whole school level, offering coaching, observation, training of new staff and teaching and learning support for all.
Claire is currently undertaking a qualification in lesson study, with the aim of setting up a trial lesson study team within Malet Lambert. If successful, this will form a core part of the CPD offer for coming years.
