Jill leads the Design and Technology Department and is a School Improvement Leader. In her school improvement role, she draws on areas of strength in her own teaching and leadership practices, including the development of systems within departments for monitoring and evaluation of learning and teaching, as well as supporting others in the development of leadership capacity within these areas.
As a lead practitioner, Jill has worked on the strategic development of quality assurance systems at a departmental and whole school level, as well as the development of monitoring systems to review the quality of learning and teaching. Jill has modelled and developed teaching practices in a range of schools through pilot studies.
Jill has supported other schools at curriculum level, establishing creating curriculum models and approaches to improve outcomes. She has provided whole-school training on the development, implementation and review of improvement strategies.
